“The Berejiklian Government must put a stop to the sale of WestConnex immediately until the ACCC hands down its findings in September.
“To proceed with the sale would be reckless and irresponsible. The Liberal-National State Government has ignored the ACCC before over electricity privatisation and consequently households and businesses have experienced double digit electricity price rises.
“This a government that is all about the corporatisation of government assets without thinking of the consequences for the consumer - our roads are no different. Western Sydney motorists are hurting enough with the new toll on the M4; selling WestConnex will lock them into tolls for the next 43 years. That is why Labor will re-introduce a cashback onto the M4.
“Even if she won’t listen to motorists and Labor, Gladys Berejiklian needs to listen to the ACCC.”
