Residents of Sydney's inner west are calling on the NSW Government to hand back excess WestConnex land to the local community.
More than 180 homes were compulsorily acquired by the Government to build the M4 East tunnel.
Now, more than 18 hectares of land that was acquired for the motorway would not be used and is up for grabs in Ashfield, Homebush, North Strathfield and Concord.
The combined area is a little bit larger than Sydney's Hyde Park.
